About this care

What Is Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding uses a tooth-colored composite resin to repair chips, close small gaps, cover stains, and even slightly reshape teeth. The procedure is fast — usually completed in a single visit — and requires little to no enamel removal.

Bonding is one of the most affordable cosmetic options and ideal for minor cosmetic concerns. Results typically last 5–10 years with good care.

What to Expect from a Tooth-Colored Filling

01

Exam & Numbing

We find the decay with an exam and X-rays, then numb the area so you stay comfortable.

02

Decay Removed

The decayed part of the tooth is cleaned out, leaving a small, clean space to fill.

03

Filling Placed

A thin band shapes the side of the tooth. A bonding liquid is applied and hardened with a light, then tooth-colored composite is added in thin layers.

04

Shaped & Polished

The filling is shaped to match your bite and polished so it blends in with the tooth.
